About Captain Brady
Captain Brady Nelson was born in Sarasota, Florida in 1969. He was raised and still resides in Manatee County with Palmetto being his home all of his adult life. Married for 35 years to his wife, Laurin, they have four children from 15 to 35 and two amazing grandsons who enjoy fishing with their grandpa. Brady has been fishing his entire life and has instilled his love of fishing in many others along the way. He grew up fishing with his grandfathers and father on many lakes and saltwater estuaries here in the state of Florida.

Adventurous Weekend Trips
It’s the camping and fishing trips and adventurous weekends in the great outdoors with his family that instilled so many fond memories for him. He feels it is important to get your children into the outdoors and on the water to create those adventures and memories for them and he has certainly continued this tradition with his own children and grandchildren.
Tournament Competitor
As a young man of 18, he started fishing bass tournaments in Florida and doing very very well on these first competitions. He fished competitively in bass tournaments for 15 years. Brady ran his successful painting business for those 15 years while fishing most of his bass tournaments in central Florida. Always living near the saltwater and having ties to saltwater fishing as well, Capt. Brady started fishing redfish tournaments in 2006 with partner Josh Ramsey. They won their first team event and lead the entire West Coast of Florida in points in the professional IFA redfish tour for three consecutive years. A feat no other team has yet to top. Brady currently runs 50 Bass fishing trips or better on Florida’s best bass lakes including Lake Okeechobee, Lake Kissimmee, Lake Istokpoga; lakes where he has enjoyed great fishing all his life.
Licensed Charter Captain
Captain Brady has been a licensed charter captain, guiding full time since 2000. This means he is always on the water looking for the fish and baitfish to create successful days for your fishing trips here in Tampa Bay and the Florida West Coast. Capt. Brady has an easy-to-get-along-with demeanor and teaching style, making each and every day of the water a pleasurable experience.
